Hello 2016!

I still can't believe another year has come and gone. 2015 was a year we will never forget. There were many joys, like celebrating five years of marriage and ten years together, as well as watching both of our siblings marry the love of their lives! It's a good year when you gain a brother in law and a sister in law all in less than 3 months!

However, there were also many hard moments that challenged us physically and emotionally. After fighting Chronic Lyme disease for two years I finally found the right doctor and was able to receive effective treatment and went into remission 7 months after my first treatment. After a long year of battling EDS and adjusting to life with this diagnosis, we were finally able to get it under control as we were able to get the Lyme Disease in remission. One of the biggest lessons we learned this year was about being your own health advocate. I celebrated my one year diagnosis date with a tattoo that speaks to my heart; with pain comes strength. We are looking forward to a year of happiness, health, and strength in 2016!

But by far our biggest blessing of 2015 was the announcement of our adoption. 2015 was the year we finally figured out God's plan to expand our family.

We feel that we have been called to domestic infant adoption, and specifically adopting a sweet baby girl. After a lot of thinking and prayer, we decided to name our little one Abigail Sage. Abigail means "joy of the father" and Sage means "wise one". Sage also happens to be my maiden name minus the "r" (Sager).

Please continue to keep our family in your prayers as we work towards bringing Abigail home in 2016! Feel free to check out the rest of our pages on our blog and check in periodically on the progress we're making!

Blessings,
Tyler & Kelsey
