We are Tyler & Kelsey! We just celebrated 10 years together and were married on September 10, 2011 (09/10/11)!
Tyler is a professional firefighter for the Harrisonburg Fire Department as well as a volunteer firefighter for the Singers Glen Volunteer Fire Department. Eight of our ten years together has been in the fire service! Tyler enjoys being outside and doing work around the house. Since we bought our house in 2014 he has been working on home improvements one step at a time. He is also a deacon for our little white church in the Glen.
I (Kelsey) am a Bridgewater College Alumni (Go Eagles!) and Community Manager for the American Cancer Society. I work with the Relay For Life communities of Augusta/Staunton/Waynesboro and Charlottesville/Albemarle. Relay For Life has been a part of my life for over 15 years. My first Relay was on May 11, 2001 (also my 10th birthday) in Harrisonburg/Rockingham shortly after my Papa passed away from cancer. I remember blowing out my birthday candle that night and telling my Mom that I was going to find a cure for cancer. In 2013 I had the honor of Co-Chairing the Relay For Life of Harrisonburg/Rockingham, which became the #1 event in Virginia and #19 in the country! God has an amazing way of bringing to life your hearts deepest desires in the most unexpected ways. When I'm not fighting cancer I enjoy spending time with my girlfriends on shift days, visiting vineyards, and reading.
Together we enjoy taking walks, spending time with our friends and family, target shooting, and relaxing at home. We also have 4 (yes, 4) cats that we absolutely adore - Lilly, Fitz, Odie, and Zoey.
